Product features
Hydroelectric generator is a generator that converts water energy into electrical energy using a turbine as a prime mover. When the water flows through the turbine, the water energy is converted into mechanical energy, and the rotating shaft of the turbine drives the rotor of the generator to convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy for output. It is the main power equipment for the production of electric energy from hydropower stations.
Francis turbine generator unit is one of our common turbines. It consists of turbines, generators, automatic control systems, governors, valves, transformers and so on. Most of the turbines are installed in hydropower stations to drive generators to generate electricity. In the hydropower station, the water in the upstream reservoir is led to the turbine through the water conduit, pushing the turbine runner to rotate and driving the generator to generate electricity. The finished water is drained downstream through the tailpipe. The higher the head and the greater the flow, the greater the output power of the turbine.
The recent development trend of Francis turbines is high head, large capacity, high efficiency, and its head adapts to medium and high heads and is used by more hydropower stations. It is currently widely used in the world.
The main features
1.Francis turbine has the advantages of compact structure, high efficiency and can adapt to a wide range of water head of turbine type.
2.When the water flow through the turbine wheel, it enters to radial, axial flow, so it is also called the radial axial flow turbine;
3.Francis turbine is also called the Francis turbine. The water flow from the surrounding radial inflow runner, then approximate axial flow runner, runner by the crown, under the ring and the blade;
4.It is applicable to the head from a range of 20 meters of up to 700 meters, has the advantages of simple structure, stable operation, and high efficiency, but it is generally used in the head in the range(50 to 400 meters). Single output from tens of KW to several 101000 tile. At present this kind of turbine maximum output has exceeded 700000 kilowatts. A turbine is one of the most extensively used.
