Francis Turbine Generator Feature
Forster Francis turbines are available in varying configurations, horizontal or vertical, with flexibility in design to ensure best efficiency and reliability of operation under the most extreme conditions.
Forster Francis turbines are characterized by incomparable longevity, durability, reliability, and robustness. Extensive research and development activities ensure best efficiency and maximum output, feasible over a wide range of operation, both in multiple and single unit configurations.
Forster Francis turbines are ideally suited for energy applications with a medium head of 20m up to 300m and an output of 10KW up to 10MW per unit. It has a very high degree of efficiency of more than 95 % and is an ubiquitously applicable turbine type.
Foster Francis turbine is a complete set of hydroelectric generating units, including valve, governor, control system and transformer.
Composition of Francis turbine Embedded parts, water distributor, rotation parts, auxiliary parts and arrangement parts. Main parts of Francis turbine Spiral casing: It makes the water flow to produce circular motion, and guides the water flow evenly and asymmetrical into the turbine. Seat ring: It is located in the periphery of the water blades, consists of the upper and lower ring and the upright column. It is the skeleton of turbine, bearing the loads of turbine pier and external parts, transmitting them to the lower foundation and supporting the movable guide vane. Section design: Streamline shape to guarantee strength and stiffness. Its numbers are half of the movable guide vane.
