When the hydraulic system is functioning properly, the lock valve allows the free flow of hydraulic fluid, enabling normal operation of the actuator. However, in the event of a sudden loss of hydraulic pressure or a failure in the hydraulic system, the lock valve automatically closes to lock the actuator in its current position, preventing unintended movement or potential hazards.
