1. Site Assessment & Preparation:

• Survey the Area: Ensure the ground is level, and the bollard location is clear of underground utilities like gas, water, and electrical lines.
• Mark the Area: Mark where the bollard(s) will be installed.
• Obtain Permits: Check with local authorities to ensure compliance with zoning and safety regulations.

2. Digging the Foundation:

• Excavation: Dig a hole that meets the manufacturer’s specifications (typically between 1.0 to 1.5 meters deep and about 0.5 to 1 meter wide, depending on the model). The hole should allow for both the bollard cylinder and its mechanism.
• Install Drainage: Depending on your location, drainage might be necessary to prevent water buildup around the bollard. Install gravel or a drain pipe to facilitate water flow.

3. Electrical & Control System Setup:

• Run Electrical Cables: Lay underground conduit and wiring from the control box or power source to the bollard location. Make sure the electrical connections follow the manufacturer's instructions for voltage and load requirements.
• Install Control Box: Position the control box in a safe, accessible location. This box will typically house the automation system, sensors, and manual override options.

4. Installing the Bollard:

• Place the Bollard in the Foundation: Carefully lower the bollard into the hole, ensuring it's level and properly aligned with the surface.
• Connect Power & Controls: Attach the bollard mechanism to the electrical wiring and control system, following the manufacturer’s wiring diagrams.

5. Pour Concrete & Secure Bollard:

• Fill with Concrete: Once the bollard is correctly positioned, pour concrete around it, making sure not to cover any moving parts or electrical components.
