Introduction

Controlled atmosphere cold storage room, also known as CA storage room, is the most advanced cold storage method for fruits and vegetables. It is on the basis of cold storage, which increases the adjustment of gas components. By controlling the temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, oxygen concentration and ethylene concentration in the storage environment, it inhibits the respiration of fruits and vegetables, delays their metabolic process, and better keeps fruits and vegetables fresh. Degree and commerciality, prolong the storage period and preservation period (sales shelf life) of fruits and vegetables.

Usually, controlled atmosphere storage can extend the storage period by 0.5-1 times compared with ordinary refrigeration; the fruits and vegetables stored in the controlled atmosphere warehouse will first wake up from the dormant state after leaving the warehouse, which can extend the freshness period (sales shelf life) of fruits and vegetables after leaving the warehouse by 21~ 28 days, 4-5 times that of ordinary cold storage.
