Brown fused alumina grains or powders are made of  bauxite, coke, anthracite as main raw materials, under more than 2000 degrees high temperature melting, hitches in arc through the mill grinding, plastic, magnetic separation to iron, which is divided into multiple granularity. Its dense texture, high hardness, particle formed globular, high consolidation is suitable for making ceramic, resin abrasive and grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, etc., and it can also be used for manufacturing advanced refractories.

Brown corundum, also known as emery, is characterized by high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low linear expansion coefficient and corrosion resistance. The product has the characteristics of no detonation, no pulverization, and no cracking in the application process. Especially, it is much higher than the traditional brown fused alumina price ratio, which makes it become the aggregate and filler of the brown fused alumina refractory.

There are generally three methods for brown fused alumina smelting:

1. Discharge: continuous production, high degree of automation, but large investment, complex structure, suitable for high-power smelting.

2. Dumping method: continuous production, high degree of mechanization, small investment, good production efficiency, the current use of a common method.

3. Fixed method (frit method) : Discontinuous production, low degree of mechanization, but small investment, simple equipment, convenient technology, is the main method of corundum smelting in small abrasive plants.

Main functions of brown fused alumina

(1) Due to the high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength and other properties, the casting steel sliding nozzle is used to smelting rare metals, special alloys, ceramics, iron blast furnace lining (wall and pipe); Physical and chemical utensils, spark plugs, heat resistant and antioxidant coating.

(2) Due to its high hardness, good wear resistance, high strength, in the chemical system, used as a variety of reaction vessels and pipes, chemical pump components; Do mechanical parts, all kinds of molds, such as wire drawing die, squeeze pencil lead die mouth; Do cutting tools, die abrasive, ** material, human joints, sealing die ring, etc.

(3) Corundum thermal insulation materials, such as corundum light brick, corundum hollow ball and fiber products, are widely used in the furnace wall and roof of various high-temperature kilns, which are both high temperature resistant and thermal insulation.
