Features
This pre-hardened steel has good polishing properties and is usually polished with alumina or gypsum. The first is the rough throw, and then use more and more fine abrasive polishing, abrasive polishing for each change direction, the final polishing time should not be too long, otherwise it will affect the mold surface roughness.
Nitriding can increase the mold surface hardness, improve wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Although the steel has been pre-hardened, but can still heat treatment to improve the hardness.
Applications
1) Suitable for molds with high gloss.
2) After nitriding the steel surface hardness can reach 650 ~ 700HV, the number of products can reach more than 1 million die.
3) Especially suitable for the thickness of more than 400mm plastic mold base.
4) Applicable to all kinds of high-polish and large plastic molds, such as home appliances, automotive industry, office equipment, plastic molds.
5) For large plastic mold mold base, such as car bumpers, TV shell molds.
More about 1.2738 plastic mold steel
1.2738 pre-hardened plastic mold steel, standard hardness is 29 ~ 33 HRC.
It adds about 1% nickel content, so hardness is good. Due to the addition of nickel, its hardenability, hardness distribution of large cross-section plate uniform are improved.
Mainly used in large plastic mold, mold frame, such as car bumpers, TV shell mold. Suitable for molds that require high gloss finish, such as the production of hard plastic (PS) and ABS, etc. Features: Excellent processing performance, easy cutting and polishing and electrical erosion.
1.2738 Steel added nickel composition, uniform hardness, has superior processing performance and polishing performance. Mainly used in high-demand size plastic mold, suitable for TV, fax machines, household appliances plastic parts, automotive parts and other requirements of a certain polishing plastic mold.
