Product Description
The stainless steel aluminum honeycomb core composite panel is now widely used for the shipbuilding industry on the applications of wall, ceiling, flooring, partition and so on. For the cost issue, the core for the honeycomb panel will be aluminum honeycomb core as it is greatly lower than the stainless steel honeycomb core. However, for some luxurious yacht applications, the core should be required to be stainless steel honeycomb core as its unique anti-corrosion performance. Further to this, as the stainless steel honeycomb panel possesses good moisture-proof while the boat and ship will be always in water and inside the boat, there will be filled with lots of moisture. Regular materials including solid wood, regular metal etc cannot stay in this kind condition for long time without corrosion. But the stainless steel honeycomb panel especially with stainless steel honeycomb core can bear the moisture corrosion for very long time.
General Description
Stainless steel’s resistance to corrosion and staining, low maintenance and familiar lustre make it an ideal material for many applications. There are over 150 grades of stainless steel, of which fifteen are most commonly used. The alloy is milled into coils, sheets, plates, bars, wire, and tubing to be used in cookware, cutlery, household hardware, surgical instruments, major appliances, industrial equipment (for example, in sugar refineries) and as an automotive and aerospace structural alloy and construction material in large buildings. Storage tanks and tankers used to transport orange juice and other food are often made of stainless steel, because of its corrosion resistance. This also influences its use in commercial kitchens and food processing plants, as it can be steam-cleaned and sterilized and does not need paint or other surface finishes.
