It is a non legal unit of measurement. The finer the fiber or yarn, the higher the metric number. The metric number of strands is expressed by dividing the metric number of single yarns that make up the strands by the number of strands, such as (50 / 2) metric, which means two 50 metric single yarns twisted in parallel. If the metric number of single yarn in the strand is different, the metric number of single yarn shall be paralleled, and the diagonal line shall be used to cut it, such as (24 / 28) male. 1000 times the reciprocal of metric number can be converted to "linear density" value)
