Our eco-friendly dome tents can be setup in any location with minimal impact on the surrounding environment. The are designed to run completely off grid with a solar powered ceiling fan and wood stove, but can also be wired with electricity if you prefer. All of the Backcountry Recreation Geodesic Domes are built with high quality materials and components and should last over 15 years if it is looked after well. We also carry spare PVC Covers in stock in case of emergencies.

The cover is made of double-coated PVC. Available in multiplet colors.It can be used around 5-8 years.
The features of pvc cover is fireproof (DIN 4102 B1, M2), wateroof and UV-resistance.
Our Geodesic Domes have a strong structure which is constructed by a quality iron pipe with hot galvanized surface. It can withstand heavy snow and high winds. The dome cover is made of a waterproof, UV-protected, and fire retardant white PVC.

DOME PLATFORM:
We recommend building dome platforms in a circular or 15-sided (pentadecagon) shape that is close to the geodesic dome base shape and size. This is necessary to prevent rain water or meltwater from getting under the cover inside the dome. In this case, the water runs down off the cover directly onto the ground.
-The dome tent is easy and fast to assemble and dismantle. We will offer the installation manual and video.
