NiCr-CuNi Type E Constantan Thermocouple Extension Wire is known for its high sensitivity and accuracy, particularly in moderate temperature ranges.The positive leg (EP) is made of Ni: Cr ≈ 90:10, while the negative leg (EN) is composed of Cu: Ni ≈ 55%: 45% .Type E thermocouples have a working temperature range of -200°C to 900°C for short-term use and 0°C to 750°C for long-term use. Type E thermocouples have the largest EMF output and highest sensitivity among common types, making them ideal for measuring small temperature changes.They exhibit good stability up to 300°C and possess anti-corrosion properties in humid atmospheres .Atmospheric Conditions: Recommended for use in oxidizing or inert atmospheres, but not suitable for reducing atmospheres or those containing sulfur gases.The positive leg (EP) has a density of 8.5 g/cm³, a melting point of 1427°C, a tensile strength of ≥490 Mpa, and a resistivity of 0.71 μΩ·m. The negative leg (EN) has a density of 8.5 g/cm³, a melting point of 1220°C, a tensile strength of ≥390 Mpa, and a resistivity of 0.50 μΩ·m.Type E thermocouples are used in heating systems like gas burners for ovens, cooling systems such as freezers, engine protection for monitoring temperatures and surface temperatures, and high-temperature control in iron casting . It also has good stability in the low temperature range up to 300 ℃ , and good property of anti-corrosion in humidity atmosphere. It is recommended for oxidizing or inert atmospheres, but cannot be used directly in reducing atmosphere and atmosphere with sulphur gases.
