Inconel 625 is a versatile superalloy designed for use in severe environments, including high-temperature applications and corrosive chemical processes. It is precipitation-hardenable, which means its mechanical properties can be enhanced through a specific heat treatment process.

 

Inconel 625 maintains its strength at elevated temperatures, suitable for use in environments up to 2000°F (1093°C).The alloy exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive media, including seawater, acidic, and alkaline solutions. It has good weldability and retains its corrosion resistance after welding. The alloy can be easily formed, machined, and fabricated using standard methods. Through aging heat treatment, Inconel 625 can achieve high tensile and yield strengths.
