The NiCrSi-NiSiMg Type N thermocouple, composed of Nickel-Chromium-Silicon (NiCrSi) as the positive leg and Nickel-Silicon-Magnesium (NiSiMg) as the negative leg, is known for its high stability and excellent resistance to oxidation, even at elevated temperatures. It operates in a broad temperature range from -200°C to +1300°C (-328°F to +2372°F), making it ideal for high-temperature applications.

 

Type N thermocouples offer superior performance in harsh environments, including those with high oxygen content, as they are less prone to drift compared to other types like Type K.
