Introduction
Downhole motor is a kind of downhole dynamic drilling tool powered by drilling fluid. The mud flow enters the motor through the bypass valve from the mud pump outlet. This flow creates pressure losses at the inlet and outlet of the pump, pushing the rotor to rotate and transmitting torque and speed to the drill bit. The performance of the downhole motor mainly depends on its performance parameters.
