As a result, it display properties characteristic of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. ASTM A479 Duplex Stainless Steel 1.4462 Heavy Hex Nuts has resistance to stress corrosion cracking which is of importance in many applications including hot water tanks, process plant, brewing tanks, and desalination plant. ASME SA 479 Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Lock Nutsis annealed at 1020-1070 Degree C (1868-1958 Degree F) and then water quenched.
