To improve the tensile strength of aluminum alloy welds and solve crack defects during aluminum alloy welding Adopting YAG laser and semiconductor laser composite laser welding.

First, YAG laser welding is used to form a welding pool, and then semiconductor laser is used to heat and insulate the pool. A crack free weld seam is obtained, and the tensile strength of the weld seam is tested

The combination of two types of lasers prolongs the cooling and solidification time of the molten pool, effectively avoiding hot cracks, reducing welding defects, and improving welding quality.

YAG and Diode Hybrid-laser welding system made by HW-Y-600 single lamp & rod machine with 2000w Diode laser source.

Use Diode laser have preheating to increase absorptivity and keyhole. At the same time laser out to weld aluminum thereby reduce defection of gas hole burst. And also increase stability of molten pool at high speed. Increase welding quality.

Reduce welding energy of single wavelength thereby increase welding speed.

 
YAG Laser Welding Machine Serial Description:

Diode Laser Welding Description:

The working principle of Semiconductor / Diode lasers is the excitation method. Utilizing semiconductor materials, that is, utilizing electrons to transition between energy bands to emit beam light, and using the cleavage surface of semiconductor crystals to form two parallel reflective mirrors as mirrors, forming a resonant cavity to oscillate, feedback, and amplify the radiation of light, outputting laser beam.

The advantages of semiconductor lasers are small size, light weight, reliable operation, low power consumption, and high efficiency.

High temperature heat sources and sufficient absorption of non-metallic components produce purification effects, reducing impurity content, changing the size of inclusions and their distribution in the molten pool. During the welding process, there is no need for electrodes or filler wires, and the melting zone is less contaminated, making the strength and toughness of the weld equivalent to or even higher than that of the parent metal.
  • Precise control. Because the focusing spot is very small, the weld seam can be positioned with high precision, and the beam is easy to transmit and control. It does not require frequent replacement of the welding torch and nozzle, significantly reducing the auxiliary downtime and high production efficiency. Light has no inertia and can also stop and restart at high speeds. By using self-control beam movement technology, complex components can be welded.
  • Non contact, atmospheric environment welding. Because the energy comes from the laser, the workpiece has no physical contact, so there is no force applied to the workpiece. Magnetism and air have no effect on lasers.
  • Due to low average heat input and high machining accuracy, reprocessing costs can be reduced. Meanwhile, laser welding has lower operating costs, which can reduce workpiece costs.
