Fiber Laser Source Description:

Fiber laser refers to a laser that uses rare earth doped glass fiber as a gain medium. Fiber lasers can be developed based on fiber amplifiers: under the action of pump light, high power density can easily form in the fiber, causing a "particle number inversion" of the laser energy level of the working material. When a positive feedback loop (forming a resonant cavity) is appropriately added, laser oscillation output can be formed.

Fiber lasers have a wide range of applications, including laser fiber communication, laser space long-distance communication, industrial shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing, laser engraving, laser marking, laser cutting, printing rollers, metal non-metallic drilling/cutting/welding (brazing, quenching, cladding, and deep welding), military and national defense security, medical equipment and instruments, large-scale infrastructure, and serving as pump sources for other lasers.

The waveguide structure of the fiber determines that the fiber laser is easy to obtain a single transverse mode output, and is less affected by external factors, which can achieve high brightness laser output.
