Profhilo is a stabilized hyaluronic acid (HA) based gel which is intended for skin remodeling and treating skin laxity, not just for filling facial lines and wrinkles. It nourishes the dermal cells and restores the firmness of the skin when it ages, as well as improves tissue quality significanty.
There are many characteristics that make Profhilo unique from anything else available on the market right now. There is no BDDE content. It is thermally cross-linked generating stabilised hybrid co-operative complexes of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. Despite its high HA content, it has a low inflammatory profile coupled with pro-healing properties backed by clinic studies.
As a rule, for the entire procedure, only one syringe of Profhilo is enough for one zone. Injections are made at 10 points on the face – 5 on on side and 5 on the other.
It is recommended to conduct an initial cycle consisting of 2 treatments performed with an interval of 30 days. In the future, if necessary, maintenance treatment may be carried out every 2 months. However, it is recommended to develop an individual treatment plan with Profhilo depending on the severity of the patient’s age characteristics.
This dermal filler gel can be applied to different areas but the doctor will decide how, when to repeat the treatment and the after care.
Of course, injection sites are not chosen randomly. Firstly, they must be anatomically safe, and secondly, targeted depending on the patient’s needs. Injections can not be done at those points where there are exits of nerves, large blood vessels and lymph nodes. Otherwise, there is a risk of blocking blood flow or damage the nerve endings.
