5. Cleaning: If necessary, the PCB is cleaned to remove flux residues or contaminants left from the soldering process. Cleaning can be performed using various methods such as ultrasonic cleaning or aqueous cleaning, depending on the specific requirements and standards.
6. Testing: The assembled PCB may undergo functional testing or electrical testing to validate its performance and functionality. This can involve automated test equipment (ATE) or other test methods to ensure the PCB meets the required specifications.
7. Final Assembly: After testing, the PCB may proceed to final assembly, where additional components, such as connectors, switches, or enclosures, are added to complete the product.
It's important to note that the specific steps and processes involved in SMT processing can vary depending on the equipment, product requirements, and manufacturing facility. The goal of SMT processing is to efficiently and reliably mount surface-mounted components onto PCBs, enabling the production of electronic devices.
