-- A MOSFET (MOS field-effect transistor) is a MOS device consisting of a metal electrode, an insulating layer, and a semiconductor material. It controls the conductivity of the channel by controlling the grid voltage, so as to control the current. MOSFET has the advantages of low switching loss, high switching speed, low on-resistance and better thermal characteristics.
