Brief description

The power battery pack extruder is used to simulate the situation where the battery is compressed during the use, transportation, and storage of power battery packs or systems, battery cells, or battery modules. It artificially presents the different situations that the battery may encounter when subjected to strong external forces, and is used to evaluate the safety performance of the battery; The device can absolutely ensure personal safety and not cause harm to the testing environment in case of battery fire or explosion during testing. Real time test data (such as battery voltage, maximum temperature on the battery surface, pressure video data for experimental result judgment) should be used to determine that the battery should not ignite, explode, or smoke after the test is completed; It is also an essential testing equipment for battery manufacturers and research institutes.

 

The wire jackets are all covered with metal fireproof pipes, effectively preventing the phenomenon of battery testing process catching fire and burning;
Install lighting fixtures to clearly see the situation inside the studio from the outside;
Installing test holes and air supply ports, with air supply ports and exhaust fans, will more effectively eliminate test exhaust gas and air pressure quickly; Test holes are designed for testers to detect temperature or air pressure in the testing space;
The control part and the test chamber are separated and can be operated at a distance of 1-2 meters, providing certain safety measures

 

Current testing methods for individual batteries

---Squeezing direction: Apply pressure perpendicular to the battery plate direction;
---Squeezing plate form: a semi cylindrical body with a radius of 75mm, the length (L) of which is greater than the size of the compressed battery;
---Squeezing speed: (5 ± 1) mm/s
---Squeezing degree: Stop squeezing after the voltage reaches 0V or the deformation reaches 30% or the squeezing force reaches 200kN (whichever reaches first).
Observe for 1 hour.

Testing method for battery module

---Squeezing direction: The direction in which the battery module is most susceptible to compression in the overall layout of the vehicle is the same. If the direction that is most susceptible to compression is not available, apply pressure perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the individual batteries;
---Squeezing speed: (5 ± 1) mm/s
---Squeezing plate form: a semi cylindrical body with a radius of 75mm, the length (L) of which is greater than the size of the compressed battery but not exceeding 1m;
---Squeezing degree: When the deformation of the battery module reaches 30% or the squeezing force reaches 1000 times the weight of the battery or the larger of the values listed in Table 1, hold for 10 minutes and observe for 1 hour
