Description
The SFP-8GFC-40 fiber channel transceiver is small form factor pluggable module, designed to support 8G Fibre Channel (FC), suitable for storage area network (SAN) links up to 40km over single mode fiber.
The transmitter section incorporates a reliable 1310nm DFB laser. And the receiver section consists of a PIN photodiode integrated with a TIA. All modules satisfy class I laser safety requirements.
This transceiver is fully compliant with SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and FCIA FC-PI-4 800-SM-LC-L standard.
Digital optical monitoring (DOM) functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface,as specified in SFF-8472, which allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.
The fiber channel optical transceiver is CE/FCC/RoHS compliant.
