This 100G QSFP28 to 4x25G SFP28 breakout Active Optical Cables (AOC) is designed for the interconnect between 100G Ethernet (100GbE) and 25G Ethernet (25GbE) applications. This 100G QSFP28 to 4x 25G SFP28 AOC cable is a 100GBase QSFP28 hybrid optical cable, which is also known as 100G QSFP28 splitter AOC or 100G QSFP28 Fan-out AOC. The 100G QSFP28 breakout AOC offers four parallel, bi-directional channels each operating at up to 25 Gbps.It supports data rates up to 100Gbps and can support distances typically up to 100 meters on OM4 multimode fiber.
It is suitable for very short-distance interconnects in data centers, enterprise networks, and high-performance computing applications. They are widely used in data centers, high-performance computing (HPC) environments, and other applications requiring high-bandwidth data transfer such as connecting servers, switches, storage devices, and other network equipment.
