CBHS-DL1 Double Gear pump

A double gear pump, also known as a dual gear pump, is a type of hydraulic pump that consists of two gear sets or gear stages within a single housing. Each gear set operates independently and performs its own pumping function.

The primary purpose of a double gear pump is to provide increased flow capacity while maintaining compactness. By having two gear sets, the pump can achieve higher flow rates compared to a single gear pump of the same size.

The operation of a double gear pump involves the following:

  1. Inlet Stage: The first gear set, referred to as the inlet stage, draws hydraulic fluid from the reservoir and delivers it to the second gear set. The inlet stage gears rotate, creating a vacuum effect that pulls fluid into the pump.

  2. Discharge Stage: The second gear set, known as the discharge stage, further pressurizes the fluid received from the inlet stage and delivers it at a higher pressure level. The discharge stage gears rotate in the opposite direction to the inlet stage gears, pushing the fluid out of the pump.

The two gear sets in a double gear pump work together to provide a continuous flow of hydraulic fluid. This design allows for higher flow rates and improved efficiency compared to a single gear pump.

Double gear pumps are commonly used in various hydraulic systems, including industrial machinery, construction equipment, and material handling applications. They are suitable for applications that require high flow rates and moderate pressure requirements.
