"Salt shrinkage" refers to the violent swelling and shrinkage of the warp and weft yarns of the cotton fiber under the action of strong alkali, so that the fabric can achieve full contraction, the warp and weft density will increase, and the yarn count will become thicker, which can achieve fabric firmness that cannot be achieved by weaving.
The caustic soda of 400g/l is called the original alkali. Under normal circumstances, it is difficult for the lye to penetrate into the fiber capsule cavity effectively. The general mercerizing penetrant has a good efficiency at the alkali concentration of 200-300g/l. The efficiency is greatly reduced, and the effect of the lye on the fiber is not used. Therefore, the selection of the appropriate mercerizing penetrant and the appropriate dosage are one of the key elements.
Processing method
(1) Dipping finishing
Perform salt shrinkage finishing on the interwoven fabric of silk and other fibers; interlace silk dyed with metal complex dyes (inhibiting salt shrinkage) with ordinary silk to obtain a special shrinkage effect
(2) Printing processing
It can express diversified three-dimensional patterns and obtain special shrinking effects that shrink locally
(3) Other methods
The silk can be processed with anti-shrinking agent, tin chloride, formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, tannic acid, wax and synthetic resin, etc., twisted or interwoven with ordinary silk, and then treated with salt shrinkage.
