Key process of the tomato paste processing line

1. Discharge platform

When fresh tomatoes come, it's usually a heavy truck, and it's very difficult to drain with humans. So we design a discharge platform, use a water gun to drain fresh fruit / tomatoes from the truck, and use water to deliver the fresh fruit / tomatoes to the processing line. In addition, the discharge platform has another feature that allows you to pre-wash fresh fruits / tomatoes before processing.

2. Elevator

This machine is used to deliver fresh fruit from outside the building into the building.

3. Washing

Fresh fruits should be washed carefully before being crushed. A bubble washer and a spray washer can be used together for cleaning. If the cleaning requirements are high, you can increase the number of stages of cleaning. In addition, ultrasonic cleaning and ozone cleaning can be added to enhance the cleaning effect.

4. Sorting

After washing, the surface of the fruit is clean, the condition of all the fruits can be checked by human eyes, and bad tomatoes can be sorted by humans.

5. Crushing for tomato processing

GFM-FC series crusher has most advanced working principle, higher accuracy of manufacture and best crushing functions.The machine is composed of feed hopper, side cover, frame, principal axis, bearing block, motor, motor structure, outlet hopper etc. 

6. Preheating

The pre-heater is used to heat the product after crusher, the temperature is adjustable, normally from 45℃ to 85℃. 

7. Pulper and refiner

This machine is also running with speed of 1470 r/min, it causes the centrifugal force and the product will go through screen, helps to refine the product. The double stage pulping machine for tomato pulp yield rate can reach 90%~95%. And normally we use double stage of pulper and refiner, the screen of each stage is different, for first stage the screen would be bigger, and for second stage the screen would be smaller. 

8. Evaporating

Vacuum Evaporator is used for concentrating the tomato paste under vacuum and low temperature. Here we are using Forced Circulation Vacuum Evaporator. And right now, we evaporate the water from the tomato pulp, then we will get the tomato paste, normally the Brix is 28-30% and 36-38%.Because it’s under vacuum and low temperature, so the tastes and nutrients would be protected as much as possible. 

9. Sterilizing

Tomato paste uses a tube-in-tube type sterilizer. Sterilization temperature and retention time are adjustable. This machine holds the tomato paste at a very high temperature of around 115 ° C for 30 seconds and immediately cools it to ambient temperature. The operating system employs an image man-machine interface that is convenient for intuitively grasping the operating state of each component of the device.

10. Aseptic Filling

The aseptic filling machine is a tube-type sterilizer that works with the tube. It is a closed cycle. Prior to manufacture, the cycle is completely sterilized to ensure a sterile environment. The filling cavity is also steam protected to ensure that the filling environment is also sterile. Security-Provides several security methods. Mirror welding technology is used to ensure an orderly and smooth welding line. Another control panel. CIP and automatic SIP can be used with the sterilizer. Easily adjusted to fit different capacities and sizes of sterile bags.

11. Storage or go blending

The finished product can be stored or used as the raw material to make the tomato sauce or ketchup.
