Steel pipe bend is very similar with elbows. They have same diameter range, wall thickness and end form. What’s the difference between them? It’s the radius. Elbows have long radius (R=1.5D) and short radius ( R=1D) types only, while bends radius usually are larger than 1.5D, such as 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, 7D, 8D, 9D and 10D.
