High Strength Double Sheath Adss Fibra Optic Cable
Description
The ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) cable is constructed with robustness in mind. Optical fibers are
enclosed within sturdy high modulus plastic tubes, further safeguarded by a water-resistant compound. These
tubes, along with fillers, surround a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) core, creating a strong, compact circular
configuration. An additional compound reinforces the structure, followed by a thin Polyethylene (PE) inner
sheath for core protection. To bolster the assembly, aramid yarns are woven over the inner sheath, enhancing
its tensile strength. Completing the cable is an outer sheath, available in PE or Anti-Tracking (AT) material,
providing comprehensive defense against environmental factors, ensuring the durability and reliability crucial
for telecommunications networks.
Application
1 Voltage Consideration: ADSS cable designs are tailored to match overhead power line voltage levels. For
lines operating under 110kV, Polyethylene (PE) outer sheaths are selected, providing adequate protection
and insulation for lower voltage environments.
2 High Voltage Resilience: Power lines rated at or above 110kV require an Anti-Tracking (AT) outer sheath in
ADSS cable designs. This material is chosen specifically for its ability to offer heightened insulation and e-
ndure higher voltage environments effectively.
3 Aramid Customization: The quantity and stranding method of aramid yarns within ADSS cables are deliber-
ately customized to suit various spans between poles or supports along power lines. This customization en-
sures the cable's strength and resilience across different distances, meeting specific installation requirements.
4 Performance Optimization: Taking into account voltage, environmental conditions, and installation parameters,
the ADSS cable design aims to optimize performance and durability. This meticulous approach ensures the c-
able is capable of meeting the demands and challenges presented by diverse voltage levels and installation
scenarios along overhead power lines.
Characteristics
1 Robust Performance: ADSS cables boast exceptional mechanical strength and resilience to extreme
temperatures, guaranteeing reliability in challenging conditions.
2 Hydrolysis-Resistant Tubes: The cables feature high-strength loose tubes that resist hydrolysis, preserving
the fibers' integrity by shielding them from moisture-related damage.
3 Protective Filling Compound: A specialized compound within the tubes safeguards the fibers from environ-
mental factors, extending their lifespan and enhancing overall performance.
4 Crush Resistance and Flexibility: These cables strike a balance between crush resistance and flexibility,
ensuring they can withstand pressure while maintaining the ability to bend and adapt during installation.
5 Enhanced Tensile Strength: Dual parallel steel wires reinforce the cable's tensile strength, offering robust
support and stability.
6 Convenient Design: ADSS cables are engineered to be compact, lightweight, and easy to install, providing
users with convenience and ease of deployment.
