Rigid Flange Coupling has two main structural forms: 1., the hinge is made of bolts to realize the two axle pairs and the bolts are subjected to extrusion and shearing to transmit the torque; 2., the 1.5 shoulders are matched with the grooves on the other 1.5 couplings.
Rigid Flange Coupling can be made of grey cast iron or carbon steel for material. Cast steel or forged steel is used when heavy load or circle speed is greater than 30 m / sec. The Rigid Flange Coupling has a very high demand for two axis neutral. When two axes have relative displacement, they will cause additional loads in the machine parts and make the work worse.
