Description:
The proliferation of broadband applications has prompted people to demand more bandwidth.For example, a typical class-seven channel can provide 862MHz bandwidth on one pair of lines to transmit video signals, analogue audio signals on another pair, and high-speed LAN information on the third and fourth line pairs.
Another difference between a Cat6 and a class seven system is their structure. Cat6 cabling systems can use either UTP or STP Cat7 systems are only based on shielded cables.In Cat7 cables, each pair of wires has a shield layer, and four pairs of wires together have a common large shield layer. Physically, the additional shielding gives the seven types of wires a larger wire diameter.
Another important difference is the ability to connect hardware. The parameters of the seven types of systems require that all line pairs provide at least 60dB of integrated near-end string winding at 600MHz of the connector.However, the Cat5E system only requires 43dB at 100MHz, and the value of Cat6 at 250MHz is 46dB.
