Description of marine aluminum sheet :
According to manufacturing process, marine aluminum alloy can be divided into deformation aluminium alloy and casting aluminum alloy. due to the special requirements of marine aluminum alloy for strength, corrosion resistance, weldability, so Al-Mg alloy, Al-Mg-Si alloy, Al-Zn-Mg alloy are more widely used as marine aluminum alloy.
Marine aluminum alloy can be divided into three types, including hull structure, fitting-outing aluminum alloy, ship shell structure aluminum alloy. Alloy 5083, 5086, 5456 are the most common used aluminum sheet. As for 6000 series alloy, intergranular corrosion in seawater will occur so the 6xxx series are often used to make upper structure products. In addition, the fitting-outing aluminum alloy has huge needs for the extruded section. After heat treatment, 7xxx series has stronger strength and better processing performance than 5000 series alloys, which has special and wide application in the building of boat, mainly for the vessels of the upper structure, such as extrusion structure, plates, and etc., However, the disadvantage of 7000 alloy is that it has poor anti-stress corrosion performance, which limits its use range.
