Disposable syringe filter body are typically made of  polypropylene (PP) material, the membrane filter layer incorporated can be PES, PTFE, Nylon, or other filter media depending on specific purposes.In HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), choosing the appropriate filter membrane depends on specific experimental conditions and the application of liquid chromatography.

Each material has its unique advantages and scope of application:

Nylon ◎Resistant to strong alkalis and organic solvents, naturally hydrophilic
◎No need for pre-wetting before use, uniform pore size, good mechanical strength
◎PH: 3-12
◎Suitable for both aqueous and organic phases
◎Alkali-resistant but not acid-resistant, with strong protein binding capacity, not recommended for filtration of protein-containing liquids.
MCE ◎Hydrophilic, low protein binding
◎Not resistant to strong acids, strong bases, or most organic solvents
◎PH: 4-8
◎Aqueous phase, limited pH tolerance range
◎Filtration of proteins in biological samples
PES ◎Hydrophilic, low protein binding ◎High flow rate, high porosity, high throughput ◎Not resistant to organic solvents and strong acid-base solutions ◎PH: 1-13 ◎Suitable for filtration of biological media or serum, with fast filtration speed.
PTFE ◎Hydrophobic, resistant to strong acids, strong bases, and high temperatures

◎Hydrophilic membranes can be used for both aqueous and organic phases, with the strongest chemical compatibility, almost universally applicable;

◎Cannot withstand  DMSO, THF, DMF, dioxane, chloroform, etc.
