PES membrane disc filter is a type of filter that has been cut into circles and ready for use. The disc filters are constructed of polyethersulfone with low-protein-binding, low-extractable and hydrophilic properties. These characteristics enables the disc filters to provide fast flow rates and high throughput when filtering media, buffers, and other filtrates, making them a recommended solution for a wide variety of aqueous filtration applications. PES filter membranes are particularly useful in microbiological and life science applications.
PES disc filters are available in a wide of range of porosities: 0.1μm,0.22µm,0.45μm, 0.65μm, 0.8μm,1.2μm,3μm,5μm etc. The 0.22µm porosity is designed for sterilization and complete bacterial retention, while the 0.45µm porosity is intended for particulate removal and clarification.
