So don't worry about the safety of this protectors. The same materials are also be used to produce BBQ grill mats.

The materials of this protector-fiberglass fabric can be used below 550℃. But PTFE coating can resist a temperature between -70℃ to 260℃, max temperature can be 380℃. So it is totally safe to use this PTFE coated fiberglass fabric to produce gas range protectors. In common cooking, the temperature is usually below 200 degree Celsius. Thickness of this protectors is 0.08mm. Size of this stovetop is usually 10.6x10.6"(27x27cm).

Production Of This Stovetop Burner Protectors

Every single stovetop protectors on the market has certain protperties in common. Because almost all gas range covers are made of the same material – fiberglass fabric and different versions of PTFE coating. And some customers think there are fiber glass in the mats but in fact just the woven cloth under the coating

Then multiple layers of the PTFE are applied, building up the heavy coating to be the non-stick and smooth surface of the liners. When the wanted thickness is achieved, this material will go through a process called sintering which includes the application of high heat (415℃) a few minutes.
