CSM 100g 200g 300g E Glass Fiber Powder Emulsion Chopped Strand Mat

E glass fiber chopped strand mat(often called csm) is cut glass fiber filament into a 50mm length, then randomly but equally distributed them on the mesh belt. Spread power or emulsion binder by heating after curing bonding into chopped strand mat. 

Fiberglass chopped strand mat has some outstanding propeties, it is easily wet out by most resin. What's more, it is  easy-processed, good wet strength retention, excellent laminate, transpartent clear color.

This CSM is widely used for hand lay-up FRP, for example, various sheets and panels, boat hulls, bath tubs, cooling towers, vehicles, automobile, chemical, electrical industries and other application.

Chopped strand mat is a very economical material and offers good tensile strength. All the chopped strand mats are compatible for handle with polyester resins and vinyl ester resin.

Useful Tips For CSM

The individual glass fibers which make up chopped strand mat is held together by an adhesive powder or emulsion binder, which is designed to be wet out polyester and vinyl ester resins easily.

How Much Resin Do I Need?

Fiber glass chopped strand mat requires about 1.5 to 2 times of weight of CSM in resin for complete saturation (1LB mat needs 1.5 to 2 LBS of resin).
