Twill Weave 6oz Clear Surfboard Fiberglass Fabric / Glass Fiber Cloth
These 6oz fiber glass fabric are woven from e-glass glass fiber filaments yarns. There are two types of fiberglass cloth which are common used for surfboard production, E-glass or S-glass fabric. S-glass is 50% higher than E-glass on tensile strength. What's more, it is 25% stiffer in flex. S-glass has higher strength but it is more expensive than e-glass fabric. Using S-glass reduces heel dings, meanwhile prolongs the life of the board. However, E-glass is the most common fiberglass fabric and is always produced in large quantities. Therefore, it is more economical materials for surfboard production. And in fact it is high strength enough.
This 6oz fabric can be compatible with polyester, epoxy and vinylester resins. It is widely used to produce surfboard, sailboard, boat hull, FRP tank, swimming pools, car bodies, FRP pipe as well as other FRP products.
