Silicone coated fiberglass fabric is one of main material of fire welding blanket. It is made of durable fiber glass cloth and is coated with red, grey or white silicone by special process. Glass fiber cloth has the advantages of non-combustion, anti corrosion, high tensile strength, chemical resistance. Silicone coating improved the abrasion resistance and electrical insulation. Fiberglass cloth is widely used in many fields such as metallurgy, chemical, construction, transportation, petroleum, electrical insulation, aerospace, etc.
 
UPSE-8784D300 is two side coated glass fiber, the silicone coating weight is 150gsm per side, and the total weight is 1150g/m2 (about 33.92oz/yd2). Unionfull Group also produce other specifications, please see as below:

Properties
 
1. High tensile strength
This material is flexible but tear resistant, no need to reinforce significant wind resistance and mechanical properties for frequent use
2. Flame resistance, thermal insulation
Fiberglass have excellent fire retardant properties not found in other fabrics. It's an ideal and economical material for fire protection safe
3. Chemical resistance
Glass fiber materials is alkali free, anti corrosion, it has good stability when contact chemical agents
 
4. Electirc insulation properties
Alkali-free glass fiber has high insulation resistance, good dielectric properties, low hygroscopicity and high temperature resistance. It is an electrical insulating woven cloth in the electromechanical industry 
 
Applications
 
1.Welding blanket/ fire blanket, curtain
The fiberglass cloth is very light weight, and it is suitable for use in places such as welding and sparking, which may cause fire alarms. Fiber glass fabric (with or without coating) can protect equipments from spark splash, slag, welding spatter, etc. And this cloth can isolate the task, separate the task layer, and eliminate the fire risk that can be caused by the welding task.
 
2.In petrochemical industry
This cloth with great anti chemical agents features and high strength. We often use fiber glass cloth to make pipes and storage tanks for storage of strong acid and alkali chemical substances, which is the chemically stable nature of its application.
 
3.Mostly used in hand lay-up process, glass fiber cloth is mainly used in hull, storage tank, cooling tower, ship, surfboard, boat, vehicle, tank and so on.
