4oz and 6oz fiber glass cloth are most common used glass fabric for surfboard building. E glass cloth is very cost effective. 4oz fiberglass cloth roll is usually used for shortboard.
When glass a surfboard, light weight e-glass cloth is always be used in combinations. For example, builders often lay 2 layers of 4oz fibre glass on the deck of surfboard. On the buttom one layer.
