If there is problem with the connection of media converter, please test according to the following method to find out the reason of the trouble:

(a) Near end testing:

PING both ends of the computer, if it is through, it can prove there is no problem with the fiber media converter. If the near end test can not work, it can be judged that there is faulty with optical fiber media converter.

(b) Remote end testing:

PING both ends of the computer, if it can not communicate, you must check whether the optical path is connected properly, and whether the transmitting and receiving power of the optical fiber media converter is within the allowable range. If the PING works, it proves that the optical path is connected properly and it can determine that the trouble is on the switch.

(c) Remote end testing to determine fault points:

Connect one end to the switch, PING both ends, if there is no faulty, it can judge the problem is with another switch.
