Simple Way To Judge Failure Of Optical Transceiver
1. Test whether the optical power is within the target range, if there is no optical signal or optical power. Try the below methods:
Examines the wavelength and measurement units of optical power selected (dBm);
B. Clean end face of optical fiber connector, interface of fiber optic transceiver;
C. Check whether the fiber connector face is black or scratched, whether the fiber connector is broken or not, replace the optical fiber connector to do interchangeability test;
D. Check if there is small bend with the fiber connector;
E. Pluggable optical module can be plugged and tested;
F. Replace the optical module on the same port or replace the same optical module to test the port.
2. Optical power is normal but the link cannot pass. Check the link light.
