Optical fiber jumper (also called optical fiber connector) refers to the connector plug installed at both ends of the optical cable to realize the movable connection of the optical path; the end with the plug is called the pigtail. Fiber optic jumpers/cables are similar to coaxial cables, but without mesh shielding. The center is the glass core through which light travels. In a multimode fiber, the core diameter is 50μm to 65μm, which is roughly the same as the thickness of a hair. The core diameter of a single mode fiber is 8μm to 10μM.
