E1 Fiberhome IBAS 180 New Generation SDS Synchronous Digital Multiplex Equipment
SDH equipments can form an integrated information network managed through a centralized network management system. This network can implement add/drop multiplex and cross-connect functions. Also, the synchronous information transmission is carried out via the optical fiber (or wireless). IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) is one of the new generation of SDH equipment developed by FiberHome.
IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) is a multi-service transmission platform. Its aggregate rate is 2 488Mbit/s, and it supports tributary interfaces with various bit rates. It has higher order and lower order cross-connect capability to realize various networking topology structures such as ring and chain flexibly. And it also possesses path protection and multiplex section shared protection. Its functions and technical specifications comply with the requirements of ITU-T recommendations and other relevant standards.
Interfaces
IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) can provide SDH interfaces such as STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16, and PDH interfaces such as E1, E3, T3 and E4, and it also can support V.35, FE, GE and ATM interfaces.
Cross-connect capability
IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) owns lower order cross-connect function with the capacity of 756×756 VC-12 that can be expanded to 1008×1008 VC-12, and higher order cross-connect function with the capacity of 64×64 VC-4.
Networking capability
IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) provides powerful networking capability to well meet the requirement of flexible networking in network edge applications. And it supports multiple network topologies such as tangency ring and intersectant ring.
Configuration
IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) has flexible configuration: each network element (NE) not only can be configured as a single STM-1/STM-4/STM-16 TM or ADM system, but also can be configured as a multi-ADM system with the combination of STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16. And it can realize the cross-connect among those systems.
Protection Mechanism
The equipment can access APS signaling in four optical directions; can form two 2F MS SPRINGs and can accomplish higher order path protection, lower order path protection and subnet connection protection functions.
Network management system
OTNM2000 is based on workstation can perform centralized operation, administration and maintenance (OA&M) over complex network formed by IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D), fulfill circuit configuration and distribution, guarantee network security, and implement system configuration and fault & performance monitoring.

IBAS 180 (GF2488-01D) provides two -48V power inputs.
