Adjustable flow orifice can be used to replace the existing fixed orifice plate. Its advantages are its tunability. It is mainly used in cooling water system, which can be used with the closing valve of cbm15-81 flange or cbm54-81. We recommend that the globe valves should be installed on the front and rear lines of the orifice plate.
The working principle of adjustable orifice plate of the ship:
Marine limited orifice plates can be used as flow measuring elements to measure flow and can also be used as throttle components to limit flow and reduce pressure. When the orifice plate has a certain pressure difference, the fluid flows through the orifice, and for a certain aperture, the flow through the orifice increases with the pressure difference. But when the pressure difference exceeds a certain value (referred to as the critical pressure difference), the fluid through the orifice of shrinkage cavity in the velocity to the speed of sound, at this time, no matter how to increase pressure difference, as long as the pressure upstream of the orifice plate keep a certain, flowing through the orifice flow will be maintained at a certain value and no longer increases. The limiting orifice plate is based on this principle to limit fluid flow and reduce pressure.
