The FKM Air Vent Head type M4 is designed for installation at the endpoint of air pipes in non-pressurized water tanks or tanks containing oil, both of which, except for cargo tanks, can be found aboard ships.
This device’s purpose is to allow the air to freely enter and leave the vessel when necessary, in order to prevent the creation of too much pressure, while simultaneously preventing the sea water from entering. At the same time, it allows the liquid to pass through in the event that the tank overflows.
FeiHang Air Vent Head is a standout among the few Air Vent Heads in the world that are in line with the rigid requirements of IMO Circular no. 3573. It is identified as an Automatic closing device Preventing progressive Flooding (APF) and has remarkable features. When it is submerged, it closes watertight and effectively safeguards the tank from flooding.
