High Efficient Ferro Silicon FeSi 75/72 For Metallurgical Additives
Ferrosilicon is an alloy composed primarily of iron (Fe) and silicon (Si). It is produced by melting a mixture of iron ore, silicon dioxide, and coke or charcoal in an electric arc furnace. The resulting alloy is commonly used as a deoxidizer and an alloying agent in the production of steel, as well as in other industrial applications.
In addition, ferro silicon powder can be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and coatings for welding electrodes in the electrode manufactruing.
Function
1.Alloying element: Ferrosilicon is added to steel and iron to introduce silicon as an alloying element. This addition can enhance the material's strength, hardness, and magnetic properties.
2.It is commonly used in the production of stainless steel, electrical steel, and other specialty alloys.
3.Deoxidizer: Ferrosilicon is commonly used as a deoxidizing agent in the production of steel and cast iron.
