Refractories: SiC is used in refractory materials for high-temperature applications, such as in kiln furniture, crucibles, and furnace linings, due to its high thermal conductivity and resistance to thermal shock.
Black silicon carbide can be used as metallurgical deoxidizer and high temperature resistant materials in smelting. Silicon carbide is also suitable for practicing BOF steel plant with a warming agent, also used for cast iron and ductile iron inoculant production of addictives.
