Calcined petroleum coke is a unique material that is derived from petroleum coke. It is produced through a special process of thermal processing which removes residual hydrocarbons and other impurities. This process helps to improve the physical, chemical and electrical properties which are critical to performing in various applications.
Calcined petroleum coke can be used as a reliable source of carbon in a variety of applications, including: high temperature paint, electrical components, batteries and fuel cells, steel mills, specialty ceramics, aluminum smelting, carbon arc electrodes for commercial uses as well as for industrial purposes.
It is also well suited for use as an active ingredient in brake pads and other friction components. The wide range of physical and chemical characteristics makes calcined petroleum coke an ideal raw material for a variety of finished products.
