Advantages of Tunnel Arm Modification:
1. Modifying the tunnel arm expands its operational range to fit various job sites, reducing the risk of the boom impacting tunnel or basement beams.
2. Following the modification, excavators can utilize larger breakers; for example, a PC120 can now support a 135 breaker, and a PC200 can use a 165 breaker. This change requires enhanced double pump confluence to increase impact force significantly.
3. A shorter boom design allows for a greater torque reduction, enabling the tunnel boom to lift larger buckets more effectively.
4. The incorporation of a stop valve when replacing the breaker with a bucket prevents any potential hydraulic oil leakage.
5. Pipe joints are reinforced with multi-layer welding to effectively decrease oil leak risks.
6. A protective cylinder guard minimizes the likelihood of damage from collisions.

What is the purpose of beveling the long arm/tunnel arm plate?
Most welding machines commonly used in the industry have a penetration depth of only 3mm. Since the thickness of our long arm plate is at least 8mm, without beveling, the welder would not be able to fully penetrate through the entire joint. This would result in weak welds, leading to issues such as weld cracking in the future.
We employ mechanical beveling, whereas other factories rely on manual beveling (as shown in the figure).
