Excavator hydraulic pressure relief valves are mainly spring-type and pilot-operated.

- Stabilize system pressure: keep the hydraulic system pressure within the set range to ensure the stability and reliability of each action of the excavator, and avoid excessive pressure fluctuations that affect work efficiency and operating accuracy.
- Achieve overload protection: When the excavator encounters an unexpected overload, such as when the boom is impacted by external force and the excavation resistance suddenly increases, the pressure relief valve opens in time to relieve pressure and protect the hydraulic system and mechanical structure.
