When oil leakage is found, we should first check whether there is anything wrong with the oil sealing area.
1. Phenomenon: Leakage occurs at low pressure but it stops sometimes at high pressure
Cause: surface finish of fitting groove is poor. Frequent occurrences particularly in the integral grooved housing
Countermeasure: lmprove the surface roughness approximately to 3.2-6.3μm Rz. Change the material to a lower hardness rubber
2. Phenomenon: Oil ring on the rod becomes loose and drops with each stroke.
Cause: Oil film is scraped out by lip of the dust seal
Countermeasure: Replace by a dust seal with smaller oil scraping amount.
3. Phenomenon: Leakage occurs at low temperatures and stops at high temperatures
Cause: 1. Excessive eccentricity; 2. inadequate seal material
Countermeasure: Change material to low temperature resistant rubber.
